Yellow

My tiny studio (yay!!!) is still being partitioned off, and all my fabric is spread all over the house while the great bedroom re-organisation takes place so I don't have a project on the go at the moment. On the other hand, I'm spending a lot of time just thinking and looking and making plans.

I was out of the city this afternoon for an appointment and it's a beautiful day so I just had to pull over onto the verge and go for a walk.

The rape flowers have a disconcerting scent - it's nice, but it's definitely pollen-y with an undercurrent of wee.

The broom just smells glorious.

  4. You've made me think twice about switching from olive oil to rapeseed oil now! The studio sounds exciting–it's great to have 'a room of one's own'.

  5. what an amazing yellow! Completely inspiring, apart from the undercurrent of wee (although my boys would find that very funny!)

  6. I do love yellow, this time of year is just beautiful. Although I do love it when the blue crop come out in flower too, I can't remember what they're called now, but they just look like gorgeous lakes sometimes.

  7. It was a rare occasion when you can write about rape, smelling of wee and its ilk and bring a smile to a girl's face! My dad always says gorse is lovely to look at, but a curse if it gets in the garden.
