I blog for two reasons - to share and record the things that I make, and secondly for the contact that blogging gives me with some lovely fellow crafters. I'm in awe of some of my favourite bloggers who manage to get so much done but I suspect there are other people out there who, like me, find it more difficult. It's very easy to worry about your stuff being good enough, or whether you are producing it fast enough to share, and to forget who you are doing it for - ie you! So! I am starting the movement here - membership of one - and proudly declaring my slog blogger status.
Becca commented that the movement should have a button and suggested a snail or a turtle (this makes her officially a co-founder;-), so just before I went on holiday I drew this, using Scribbler (have you used it yet? It's such fun! Also, it would make great drawings for embroiderers.).
Sounds good - I too am in awe of all these folk who not only manage to quilt something seemingly every day, but also have the time to blog about it, and still run a house, hold down a job and be mum to half a million kids - phew, I'm knackered just thinking about it! Looking forward to hearing the entry requirements!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I'm deffo a slow blogger. I'm grabbing the button!
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine, I agree with you. I'm always amazed at other bloggers and how much they accomplish.
ReplyDeleteI'm grabbing the button!. Maybe we should have a linky party once a month (since we are slow bloggers) to show our accomplishments
I agree, keeping up with the "Joneses" of the blogging world is hard! How do these wonderwomen find the time? Do they drug their kids to get them to sleep hours on end during the day? Do they have maids who do all the housework? Maybe they are insomniacs who don't sleep... I don't get it!
ReplyDeleteTotally hear you! I am definitely a slow blogger at the moment so I shall grab that button tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI posted this on the tabby page too, but I am totally in. Your widget is on my sidebar now, so it's official!

Hehe, thanks for the shout out! Obviously I'm in...
ReplyDeleteI often feel this way too!
ReplyDelete(As a side note, I felt that way so much that I also started a linky party with random topics so that I would have some things to post about. It is a rather small party (mostly me) but I feel like it kind of matches what you're talking about. http://fabricengineer.blogspot.com/search/label/Behind%20the%20Seams)
Having got my knickers in a right twist trying to get things done whilst on holiday this is definitely up my alley :)
ReplyDeleteYes that slow blogger thing resonates with me! Can I join?
