Good hair day

I came home today flushed with the joy of having survived a trip to the hairdressers without having had to tell them "it's lovely, thanks" while secretly weeping (I usually prefer to butcher it myself with a pair of nail scissors because I'm a coward).

As a result I was feeling quite optimistic so I took Celtic Thistle's advice and made one of the bargain scraps of yesterday into a box (well sort of).   I really like trying to work out how to do things, so I lay in bed last night trying to figure out how to make a lined, wadded, fabric container with all the seams on the inside.  This is what I came up with - I'm going to regard this one as a prototype as it's very imperfect but it will do a fine job keeping the socks and knickers separate in my underwear drawer. It's not actually sewed together squint though - that's bad photography.

It's about a foot square, and only cost 50p and some leftover wadding.  It's been a good day!
